Services
Green Lane Oasis - The original ‘allotment project’ of the Food Bank Initiative, the ‘Green Lane Oasis - Community Garden Project’ is an oasis of produce, environmental work, & community spirit. Managed by Britta Lipper, she works with volunteers, schools & community groups in developing the site & running tailor made courses. During 2006 the site produced 500 kg’s (& 37 varieties) of fruit & vegetables - all naturally grown.
Centre for the Community - A former derelict church purchased with grant funding by the Trust & renovated by contractors & volunteers into a community facility. The accessible building boasts a hall, kitchen, two training rooms, & ICT suite and is used by the Trust & 21 groups six days per week from 9 am to 10 pm.
Emergency Food Parcels - part of the Food Bank Initiative, this service allows Referral Agency’s to refer clients in crisis situations for an Emergency Food Parcel which contains enough food for three meals per day for two days.
