THE GREEN LANE OASIS
COMMUNITY GARDEN PROJECT
A combination of working with people, growing produce, & redeveloping land with the associated environmental aspects (wetlands, composting, water harvesting, water course & pond, plus native hedging).
FRUIT AND VEG, NATURALLY.
The original ‘allotment project’ of the Food Bank Initiative, the ‘Green Lane Oasis - Community Garden Project’ is an oasis of produce, environmental work, & community spirit. Managed by Britta Lipper, she works with volunteers, schools & community groups in developing the site & running tailor made courses. During 2006 the site produced 500 kg’s (& 37 varieties) of fruit & vegetables - all naturally grown.

•large composting bins and water harvesting
•native hedging, pond & water course
•wetland area and butterfly garden
•cabin, secure tool storage, and toilet.
